The South African Council of Churches (SACC) is saddened by the sudden passing of former Ambassador to Denmark, Ms Zindziswa “Zindzi” Mandela.

She lived a life of great resilience, just like her mother and father, the late Ms Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and former President Nelson Mandela. We send our most sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues, and to South Africa at large.

We are indeed going through a difficult period as a country and the world. It is moments like this that remind us of the need to be united in the spirit of working together and healing together, so that we may overcome difficulties together.

May her soul Rest In Peace.
