Millions of people in front of TV sets, radio receivers and via the Internet followed the Paschal Triduum and Easter broadcasts. And thanks to the social media campaign #Cross, #EasterBasket, #Easter, Poles created a virtual community of people celebrating the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

After the state authorities imposed regulations limiting the number of participants in church Mass to 5 people, the religious life of Poles moved to the media. Thousands of Polish parishes broadcast Mass and the evening rosary on YouTube. For example, in the Archdiocese of Wroclaw alone, 150 parishes broadcast the Eucharist online.

Polish parishes also broadcast the celebration of the Paschal Triduum and the Easter Mass on YouTube. The Paschal Vigil was followed by 42,000 people from one of Warsaw’s churches online. In turn, the broadcast from Jasna Gora was followed by 135,000 people via the Internet.

In addition, Tv and radio stations broadcast among others the liturgies of the Paschal Triduum and Mass on Easter Sunday and Monday from Jasna Gora, the Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki and the Temple of Divine Providence in Warsaw. The Holy Mass broadcast from the Chapel of Our Lady of Jasna Gora on TVP1 at 11 o’clock is watched every Sunday by about 2.5 million people, and from Lagiewniki by about 1.5 million.

Also the social media campaign #Cross, #EasterBasket, #Easter enjoyed great interest among Poles, but also people from abroad. Internet users posted photos of their crosses at home, Easter baskets and Easter tables on Twitter, sharing in this way the celebration of Easter and creating a community of the Church celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ with others.
